Stocking and shoe = fits.

Warmth in winter, comfort and hygiene in summer: with rising temperatures, your reach into your sock drawer also changes. ihle® has adapted its product portfolio to this change and manufactures stockings in three different designs.

Short socks

All-rounders for all seasons: the leg piece gives the sock its shape and name. For short socks, it extends approximately 10 cm above the ankle to at most the middle of the calf. The cuff can be made as a band without elastic or a ribbed band (with or without elastic).

Knee-highs

A classic for winter or high heels: the stocking ends below the knee. A wide cuff gives support and does not constrict. Trims with and without elastic are also available here.

Ankle socks

The summer version of the sock primarily covers toes and heel. The ankle sock ends just above or below the ankle. For diabetics, we therefore recommend the longer versions of our ankle socks.

Material isn’t the only factor that is decisive for the feel and look of a garment; the gauge is also key. Gauge refers to the number of needles used to knit to one inch (2.54 cm). The usual gauge is 14 stitches per inch, which produces the classic stitch pattern. ihle® uses a range from 6 to 36 stitches per inch. The result is always a knitted fabric that meets the requirements.

Classically smooth

The uniform knit in medium thickness is a generalist. It suits every season, every occasion and both men and women. ihle® uses it to make socks and stockings suitable for everyday wear.

Classic extra fine

This is what ihle® calls the refined version of classic knitwear. This knitted fabric has 22 stitches per inch. In Central Europe, mostly ladies, although increasingly men in Southern Europe, prefer this quality.

Full padding

From toe to toe: fully padded socks guarantee pleasant warmth, effective cushioning and good air circulation thanks to the terry knit. They are suitable for various activities.

Semi-plush

Padding in selected areas: sometimes special padding is enough in the toes, sole and heel areas. Semi-plush models are therefore considered ideal companions for the transitional period.

Footwear is going colourful: this trend is also catching on in orthopaedic shoes. Whether restrained anthracite, mottled denim blue or vivid red - ihle® explicitly produces in a wide range of colours. We knit together feel-good aspects and textile expertise to create a fashionable, functional accessory.

Super fit without cutting in: stretchy, snug and fit for everyday wear - that's how the knitted fabric has to fit. ihle® has therefore developed different edges or cuff designs. The spectrum ranges from narrow to extra-wide. We offer the following designs:

Loop cuff without elastic

With this special knit, ihle® primarily meets the needs of diabetics. However, anyone who finds the cutting elastic annoying is also well advised to use the loop cuff.

Ribbed edge without elastic

This edge is about 10 cm long and can also be worn as a sleeve version.

Ribbed edge with elastic

In this design, an elastic is knitted in over a length of 4 cm. Customers with healthy feet usually prefer a certain degree of noticeable support.
Good to know: This cuff type is not suitable for diabetics.

Cotton, angora or SENSICO®?
The main thing is quality!
In order for ihle® products to deliver what they promise, they must pass certain endurance tests. Which material is used depends solely on the needs of the wearer.

Cotton

Robust, hard-wearing and breathable: cotton absorbs moisture well and withstands many washes. Good to know: If you have very sweaty feet, you should choose socks made of SENSICO®.

New wool

Perfect for cold feet: new wool offers excellent protection against the cold, balances out temperatures and acts as an air cushion (can store up to 50% of its own weight in air). Our tip: This material is ideal for rheumatics.

Angora

Fluffy fibre with climate control: angora wool balances and regulates temperature. At the same time, it absorbs moisture (up to 60% of its own weight) and gradually releases it to the outside. Important: rheumatics appreciate this material and its wearing comfort.

Silver

Anti-inflammatory and antibacterial: silver is valued as a reliable material in the treatment of wounds and infections. ihle® uses the properties of silver fibres to promote healing and reduce foot odour (caused by bacteria).

SENSICO®

The fibre mix for that special feeling of well-being: 80% cotton and 20% Lyocell - that is SENSICO®. This combination eliminates bacteria and unpleasant odours. If your feet sweat a lot, you should wear socks made of SENSICO®.

Polyamide / Polyester

A must-have for sports: socks and stockings with polyamide/polyester content dry quickly, are extremely hard-wearing and keep their shape. Due to their structure, the soft synthetic fibres always wick moisture to the outside. ihle® everyday and sports products are available in a rainbow of colours.
